-F.O.P. Lodge #19 hosted a hospitality room for law enforcement officers throughout the state and Canada the night before the Law Enforcement Memorial dedication in Olympia.
-Our members participated the Memorial dedication
-We hosted a very successful Easter egg hunt for about 50 kids and I am expecting this years to be much larger.
-Our members attended the Law Enforcement Memorial Police Ball in Seattle.
-Our members participated in the charity softball game vs. retired Seahawks at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma.
-We donated ten back packs fully loaded with school supplies for kids in need in the Rochester area.
-Our lodge assisted the United States Marine Corps League with the Toys for Tots campaign. This consisted of frequently checking the drop boxes at various locations and transporting the toys to a holding trailer; Spending the kickoff day at Toys R Us, Spending an entire Saturday sorting toys and an entire Sunday distributing them.
-Our members attended and participated in the bi annual State FOP conference in Mt. Vernon.
-Our lodge presented Thurston County Sheriff's Deputy, Michael Hazlett, with the Medal of Valor for saving a young child from a crazed gunman who had just shot an adult female five times. This presentation was made at Mason County Lodge 23's Awards banquet at the Alderbrook Inn on December 30th. We had a strong showing of support from our membership at this presentation. Mike sends his thanks and will be joining our lodge.
