The Fraternal Order of Police has a long tradition of serving the professional law enforcement officer. Founded in 1915 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the Fraternal Order of Police has evolved into over 2100 local lodges proudly representing over 323,000 officers nationwide. No one knows the dangers and the difficulties faced by today's police officers better than another officer, and no one knows police officers better than the FOP. The FOP provides a service and benefit to the law enforcement profession and the public to which it serves. FOP members across our nation believe in our national motto "Jus Fidus Libertatum" (Law is the Safeguard of Freedom). What can the FOP do for you? Check out the membership page for more information and benefits.
FOP Capitol City Lodge #19 is not a union and does not become involved in collective bargaining. Our purpose is serving law enforcement officers in Washington and dedicated to supporting and improving the community in which we live. Our lodge pays tribute to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice and works to pass legislation that will improve the working conditions of law enforcement officers and provide safer communities.
